Callander Canine Centre. 199 Tillicum Bay Road, Callander These classes are designed to help you start working with your puppy from the moment you bring him or her home, in a way that promotes a love of learning that builds confidence and teaches essential foundation behaviors and life skills. We use a layered approach to learning so that each skill builds upon each other to get the desired behaviors we want. Puppy Class -1 This class is ideal for puppies in the 2-4 month range and adapted to the individual needs of each puppy Monday nights 6:00 pm Puppy Class -2 This class is ideal for puppies in the 5-7 month range and adapted to the individual needs of each puppy. There is no prerequisite and puppies may or may not have taken any other training classes Monday nights 7:30 pm Class Topics - reinforcement skills (food and toys); - focus and engagement – a puppy who eagerly wants to train with you! - marker cues and timing -building productive foundations for really reliable recalls, solid stays and loose leash walking - training games – accelerated learning! - social behaviors - generalizing skills
